Hand-Forged Watermelon & Indicolite Tourmaline Drop Earrings
Hand-Forged Watermelon & Indicolite Tourmaline Drop Earrings
Hand-forged sterling silver drop earrings featuring natural Watermelon and Indicolite Tourmaline crystals.
Tourmaline is one of my favourite gemstones, and these earrings celebrate the raw beauty of the crystal in its natural form. Rather than being cut and polished by a lapidary, the tourmalines remain largely untouched, allowing their natural crystal shape and terminations to take centre stage.
Set within handcrafted sterling silver cups and suspended from hand-forged paperclip links, the crystals move freely and catch the light as they are worn. The design was intentionally kept simple, allowing the remarkable colours and structure of the tourmaline to speak for themselves.
Featuring both Watermelon Tourmaline and Indicolite Tourmaline, these earrings showcase the extraordinary diversity of one of nature's most fascinating gemstones.
Each crystal is unique, preserving the individuality and character it developed as it formed within the earth millions of years ago.

About the Gemstones
About the Gemstones
✨ Tourmaline is one of my favourite gemstones for its incredible versatility. Occurring in almost every colour imaginable, from vivid greens and deep ocean blues to vibrant pinks, it is something of an overachiever in the gemstone world. Some crystals even display multiple colours within a single stone. This extraordinary diversity is the result of subtle changes in the elements present as the crystal forms, creating an endless variety of colours and patterns. It's this unpredictability that makes tourmaline so fascinating to work with — no two stones are ever quite the same. And if its remarkable colour range wasn't enough, tourmaline has another unusual trait. When heated, it can develop an electrical charge capable of attracting tiny particles of dust and ash. Natural variations in colour, transparency and crystal structure ensure that every piece of tourmaline displays its own unique character.
