Quelling Spike

The quelling spike is a tactile pendant designed to move with you, literally and emotionally. It has been cast in sterling silver from an original wax model and has a tapered silhouette with a kinetic bail that allows it to rotate freely. The kinetic bail keeps the chain from tangling while creating a subtle mediative motion. 

Two 9K rose gold spheres are deliberately set on its surface, not just for a contrasting two-tone metal aesthetic, but to be felt. Smooth and raised, they invite touch; a calming and grounding ritual for anxious hands (like mine!), or just for a moments pause in the day.

This necklace is designed to be tactile, moved and played with.
