Quelling Spike Kinetic Sterling Silver Pendant

The Quelling Spike began life as a hand-carved wax sculpture, created at the bench and later preserved through a wax casting process.

While it functions as a pendant, it was really designed to be touched. The smooth, elongated form sits comfortably in the hand and is intended to be rolled, turned and fidgeted with throughout the day. I’ve always found comfort in carrying small tactile objects, and this piece was created with that same instinct in mind.

Each pendant is cast to order from the original mould and finished by hand, preserving the character of the original carving while ensuring every piece is made specifically for its new owner.

Part piece of jewellery, part pocket talisman, the Quelling Spike is a small object designed to be lived with rather than simply worn.
