These earrings were designed to celebrate the beauty of tourmaline in its natural form. Rather than being cut and polished, the crystals remain largely untouched, preserving the shapes, textures and terminations they developed as they formed within the earth.

The soft seafoam-green colour of these particular tourmalines is a reminder of just how diverse this remarkable gemstone can be. Their fresh green tones evoke the meeting of land and sea, revealing a quieter side of a gemstone more commonly associated with vivid pinks, blues and greens.

Each crystal is set within a handcrafted sterling silver cap, finished with a small granulated silver detail. The setting is intentionally simple, allowing the natural beauty and individuality of the crystals to remain the focus.

About the Gemstones

✨ Tourmaline is one of my favourite gemstones for its incredible versatility. Occurring in almost every colour imaginable, from vivid greens and deep ocean blues to vibrant pinks, it is something of an overachiever in the gemstone world. Some crystals even display multiple colours within a single stone. This extraordinary diversity is the result of subtle changes in the elements present as the crystal forms, creating an endless variety of colours and patterns. It's this unpredictability that makes tourmaline so fascinating to work with — no two stones are ever quite the same. And if its remarkable colour range wasn't enough, tourmaline has another unusual trait. When heated, it can develop an electrical charge capable of attracting tiny particles of dust and ash. Natural variations in colour, transparency and crystal structure ensure that every piece of tourmaline displays its own unique character.
